People are already struggling with high water cost, high electricity, high travel cost. I think this is horribly unfair because we don't really know if the money is used for legitimate purposes . We have no accountability within government structures. Everyone plunders, takes, steals and the taxpayer just keeps paying.
I SAY NO.

Everyone is already struggling and everything goes up and up but the salary stays the same

Keep it at its current rate or lower. It's not the suitable time for increase.

I am a pensioner and already have to pay all the other increases ie electricity, water, petrol, food etc. The vehicle licence fees are already high. Give us a break!

COST OF LIVING IS ALREADY KILLING THE PENSIONERS. HAVING A VEHICLE IS NOT A LUXURY, BUT A NECESSITY

Why must we pay more when nothing gets done about the conditions of the roads.
Francois
Yes I do
As the cost of living goes up, so does the cost of maintaining our beautiful city. We have to understand that. If we don't support the increased fees, we might end up with another E-toll fiasco. Rather slightly increased fees VS an unaffordable tolling solution that nobody wants to pay for. I am therefore in favour of an increase in vehicle licensing fees if it is raised responsibly.

Cost of living is becoming too high and salaries aren't increasing so making it difficult to afford paying for everything else.

The tarriff increases coming froma all sides are just not bearable.

Cost of living is ridiculous having to fork out for governments corruption blunders.

Please think of the middle to lower income brackets when proposing this increase.

as a pensioner I would appriciate if the fees stay the same. I find it difficult to come out on my money as it is without everything going up.
thank you

The licence increase is essential BUT the steep increase of the TRANSACTION FEE is
NOT acceptable. Another way to rip the public off!

As a pensioner financially everything increases except our pensions.
Pensioners should have special consideration.

The continuous rising cost of fuel is draining us as pensioners. Roads are so bad in some areas and yet Western Cape Govt can afford to pay high salaries. Where does it all end.? Costs of water and electricity have risen. Out of a R1700 monthly pension, R800 goes toward electricity, Fuel is another R600, R300 for food/month. Pensioners are starving !

Why take more money? You already are unable to govern and use the current money corectly? Look at the disgusting rail system in WC as example. Look at the disgusting way you handled the water crisis. NO to increase!

It is a complete rip off to increase the fees because the roads are up to shit and we pay lots and lots of taxes. It will be a disgrace to pay more for licenses. The government is now just taking more and more from the people.

The country is under pressure due to corruption. If we put up the licenses fees then we would add to that pressure.
